This unreal (but cute) formation is the attraction and namesake of the Toadstool Trail, which is part of the larger Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The train is located just off of Highway 89 in southwest Utah — it’s marked by a little wooden sign and easy to miss, but boy, it is out of this world! The toadstools are formed when the softer sandstone wears away quicker than the top layer, and the alien landscape there is spotted with them.
