Product: Tri-fold Brochure. Full color, 2 pages.
Design specs: Brochure layout to advertise scholarship program utilising existing design elements such as the logo and color scheme. Designed for print and mail out with tri-fold structure. Photographs were supplied by the client.

Parents’ Guide to Vaccines 
Product: Informational brochure. Full color, 32 pages.
Design specs: A brochure to help parents understand why they should vaccinate their kids. The layout and infographics are designed to be easy to follow and to convey complex scientific information in an approachable manner.

This report focusing on youth disconnection in the United States was the focus of a New York Times editorial, and garnered extensive media coverage.

This report examines well-being in the United States by congressional districts, utilizing the American Human Development Index.

The client wanted a simple uncluttered design that was different from the official organization’s branding to denote an independent report. The report was largely for internal purposes to examine and evaluate the impact of the organization’s programs.

Product: Web-based infographic.

This infographic compares the demographic details of U.S. Congressional representatives with that of the general U.S. population, with data separated by party also.

This infographic explains the client’s business model to potential investors in one simple easy-to-understand image.

Ad design
Product: Print advertisement design. 2-color.
Design specs: Advertisement design to introduce organization to new audience, in particular the readers of Mother Jones magazine. Adherence to existing brand identity.

I first sketched the profile images of both women with pen and paper, and later utilized Adobe Illustrator to stylize and edit the pen strokes and overall design. This ad appeared in the print version of Mother Jones in the fall of 2013.

Business Card Design
Product: 2-color business card, front and back.
Design specs: Utilize core organizational brand identity elements such as font and colour.

The back end of this business card design capitalizes on the bold red colour and wide font, with the text bleeding to the edges. The design is clear and confident, and balanced by the more functional and informational front side. The logo in the top right demonstrates the original design element, and shows the play between negative and positive space between the two sides.

Design for a report on disconnected youth in America’s cities, with a call to arms to halve the current trends by 2030.

A brief focusing on women’s well-being in the 25 most populous metro areas in the United States.
